Getting Started with Language Services

Welcome! If you are ready to start using language services, this section will guide you through the essentials.

Our client portal is your gateway to access all of our languages services with a single login. Contact [email protected] for login credentials.

Logging In:

  1. Open the MyMasterWord® app on your phone, or use the button above to access clientportal.masterword.com.
  2. With Clients selected, enter the email address for your MyMasterWord® account and select Next. Don’t have an account? You can also select Request one here at the login screen to get access.
  3. Enter your password, then press Sign in to be taken to your dashboard.

Resetting Your Password:

  1. Enter your email, select Next, then select Forgot password?
  2. Enter your email, then select Reset Password.
  3. If an account with the email exists, you will receive an email with reset instructions. Follow the instructions to reset your password and continue to the MyMasterWord® login.

After logging in, you will be taken to the dashboard.

Here, you can use the top menu to request services, find requests, and view reports. The dashboard tab will have an overview of any pending or recent service requests in a list view. The calendar tab shows the same pending or recent requests in a convenient calendar view.

MasterWord’s contact information is also available directly from the dashboard, in case you’d like to contact us directly.

  1. To request in-person interpretation, go to New Request and select In-Person Interpretation (IPI) under Prescheduled Services.
  2. Start by selecting you language pairs and the number of interpreters needed. If you need additional language pairs, you can add or remove them using the + Add another language pair and – buttons.
  3. Select the Service TypeAssignment TypeDateDuration, and any other notes for the interpreter(s) or MasterWord. If you would like a quote before the appointment is scheduled, specify that below the project notes.
  4. Fill out the remaining fields, including the point of contact information (if the contact is a different person than the requestor), where the appointment will take place, and any relevant work order number or department.
  5. Once all the required fields are completed, press Submit at the bottom of the page to complete the request. MasterWord will reach out to you to confirm the appointment and gather any additional information if needed.

To request on-demand remote interpretation, go to New Request and select Remote Interpretation (Phone/Video) under On-demand Services.

For Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI):

  1. Select the Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) tab, then select one of the languages from the menu containing the most popular languages. If you do not see your language in the menu, you can also select using the dropdown list.
  2. To connect with an interpreter, press the green Connect Now button to start the call directly in your browser or MyMasterWord app. Or, if you would like to request a call back from the interpreter, enter the phone number and select the yellow Request a call back button.

For Video Remote Interpretation (VRI):

  1. Select the Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) tab and select a language from the available options. If you do not see your language in the menu with popular options, use the dropdown list. Note that selecting gender is optional.
  2. Once the language is selected, press the green Connect Now button to start your video call directly in your browser or MyMasterWord app.
  1. To request virtual interpretation over platforms like Zoom or Teams, go to New Request and select Virtual Interpretation (Zoom, Teams, etc.) under Prescheduled Services.
  2. Follow the same steps as In-Person Interpretation by selecting your language pairs and the number of interpreters needed.
  3. Choose the Service Type, Assignment Type, and specify the Virtual Meeting Platform to be used. If a meeting URL has not yet been created, select the checkbox to have MasterWord receive the meeting URL later on from the point of contact.
  4. Enter the Service Date, Duration, and any notes for the interpreter or MasterWord. If you would like to receive a quote before the appointment is scheduled, specify that below the Project Notes to MasterWord.
  5. Fill out the remaining fields, including the point of contact information (if the point of contact is different than the requestor), any relevant work order number, department, and the general location the appointment will take place.
  6. Once all the required fields are completed, press Submit to complete the request. MasterWord will reach out to you to confirm the appointment and gather any additional information if needed.
  1. To request translation, go to New Request and select Translation under Prescheduled Services.
  2. Start by selecting the Service Type and giving the project a name. If no name is provided, MasterWord will use the file name of the first uploaded file. A description of the project scope will appear for the service type that is selected. MasterWord recommends Translation with Quality Assurance as the preferred service type for the best balance of quality and turnaround time.
  3. Select the language pairs that the document will be translated into. If you need the documents translating into multiple language pairs, you can add and remove the pairs using the + and  buttons. If you would like the contents to be localized for a specific country or dialect, you can optionally describe the target audience below the language pair selections.
  4. Enter the Deadline Date, Content Type, and specify if the project is a Rush Request. Keep in mind that rush requests may be subject to an additional fee. If your documents fall under multiple content types, you can add or remove content types using the and  buttons.
  5. Upload your documents and reference files, as well as any special instructions. Enter the email address(es) you would like to include on project updates. Enter any relevant PO number or department for your project. If you would like a quote before the project is started, specify that below the Department/PO Location field.
  6. After ensuring all the required project files are uploaded and the required fields are completed, press Submit to complete the request. MasterWord will reach out to you with the project status, or any questions if additional information is needed.
