Marina Guevara is the Director of Spoken Language Interpreting Services at MasterWord. She has superb cross-functional expertise thanks to her extensive track record with MasterWord that includes a diverse mix of functions and responsibilities. Marina joined MasterWord in 2007. Since then, she has made valuable contributions in virtually every aspect of the company’s operations, including coordinating complex managed services, spearheading strategic projects, leading specialized recruitment and talent management, heading MasterWord’s marketing and business development initiatives, directing MasterWord’s international branch office, and MasterWord’s overall service operations.
In 2016, Marina took a sabbatical to pursue a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas, successfully completing it with a 4.0 GPA and being voted as the Outstanding MBA Student of the Year by the UT faculty. In addition to her MBA degree, Marina holds an Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Journalism and Communications from the Novosibirsk State University (Russia). She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), an internationally recognized professional designation offered by the Project Management Institute, and a certified Microsoft Office Specialist.
An experienced linguist herself (Russian and English), Marina understands the language services industry and the importance of communication and customer service with a high level of attention to detail. Marina’s personal moto is “Amazing things can be accomplished if no one cares who gets the credit”.
