MasterWord’s on–site or remote Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) services helps our clients provide instant access to their events, classes, and meetings as a communication access option to Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.
MasterWord delivers targeted approaches to our clients’ communication access and assistive technology needs through a network of CART captioners who have been thoroughly vetted and qualified for the scope of each engagement.
CART services, unlike Closed Captioning services, capture spoken words and displays them on a weblink that can be accessed through a computer screen, tablet device, or projected unto a larger screen to make a live event and meetings accessible to Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals in attendance. On the other hand, Closed Captioning displays speech through an encoder onto a television or other screen for a broadcasted event or program.
An audio source must be provided for the CART captioner, which may require some technological coordination if requesting remote services. Contact us for information regarding CART services for your particular event or meeting.
