Reporting to: Manager, Interpretation Department


Location: Houston, Texas


Position Summary:

Works closely with the Manager and Senior Project Coordinator to staff a variety of projects including but not limited to staffing of interpretation assignments.

Assists in development and nurturing of all Client relationships.

Responsible for assisting in the upkeep of the schedule and client solutions (e.g. replace interpreter on an emergency basis due to no­ show, etc.).

Partners with Manager and Senior Project Coordinator to ensure projects are completed.

Assist in negotiation with interpreters and other contractors to ensure project completion within budget.

Assist in a variety of Interpretation projects (e.g. Multi­language work orders, Language Research, Certification Research, etc.).


Duties & Responsibilities:

Analyses and staffs requests from a variety of clients, creates and updates work orders with up to the minute information about each assignment while ensuring there are no mistakes (e.g. double bookings, incorrect work orders, duplicate work orders, incorrect language, incorrect project codes, etc.)

Works closely with Interpretation Manager and Recruiting Department to ensure each assignment is properly fulfilled

Ensures vendor(s) assigned meets all internal and client requirements

Answers queries from interpreters and/or distributes to the relevant individuals when needed

Escalates potential problems with completion of project tasks in a timely manner

Informs and documents all problems or potential problems (tardiness, no shows, etc.)

Generates and sends out Daily Reports

Performs Opening and Closing Responsibilities

Performs On­Call duties on a rotating basis

Displays positive attitude and work ethic while promoting him/her-self in a professional, positive manner

Displays great teamwork characteristics

Does not make negative and/or unnecessary comments regarding clients/vendors/co­workers, etc.

Assists with special projects as needed

Assists in unforeseen job demands


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Fluency in spoken and written English

Fluency in spoken and written foreign language

Excellent communication and phone skills

Excellent Customer Service Skills

Ablility to multi­task

Excellent organization skills

Detail oriented



Good problem solving ability

Excellent ability to listen

Proficiency in general computer applications including MS Office

Must be willing to work extensive hours to meet job demands or client project requirements

Must be willing to adjust schedule to accommodate departmental needs while filling in for co­workers during vacations, sick or personal time off.

Able to work with minimal supervision


Minimum Education & Experience Level:

College degree preferred

2+ years of customer service or call center experience
