A globally recognized yet often overlooked holiday is approaching. On the 30th of September, the world celebrates International Translation Day. It is a date that has been promoted since 1953 by the International Federation of Translators. Initially, this was a feast day of St. Jerome, the Bible translator who is considered the patron saint of translators.
International Translation Day continues to be a significant day meant to bring the translation community together and show pride for a profession that brings the world together.
