The Compliance Specialist will support the development and implementation of compliance programs and reporting by performing the following duties.

Status: Full-time
Location: Remote with occasional travel to the project site(s) and Houston corporate headquarters (travel 25%+)

Assists with developing, where needed, and establishing internal procedures, workflows and controls related to various compliance initiatives.
Utilizes established internal controls and auditing systems to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance.
Supports implementation of changes to compliance procedures due to new or amended requirements.
Prepares and updates communication materials related to compliance initiatives and reporting.
Assists with training initiatives to inform employees, contractors, and other stakeholders about compliance requirements.
Works closely with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Human Resources to ensure ongoing compliance for special projects, including assistance with onboarding requirements and ensuring continued good standing of project-based employees and contractors.
Receives and reviews special compliance paperwork related to background investigations conducted by client organization. Serves as a point of contact for both employees, contractors and client, while acquiring and continuously maintaining up-to-date knowledge related to
Identifies, investigates, and reports compliance issues, irregularities, and violations.
Maintains records of compliance activities.
Prepares and files compliance and quality management reports.
Prepares and files project-specific reports.

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or
Three to five years related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including phone customer service and etiquette
